Effect of Rotation Speed and Flow Rate on Slip Factor in a Centrifugal Pump

چکیده
This work analyzes the causes of slip phenomenon in impeller on basis internal flow mechanism. Detailed optical measurements inside rotation passages a five-bladed centrifugal pump are obtained through particle image velocimetry (PIV). On experimental data, deviation coefficient velocity is proposed and then revised according to factor calculation formula Stechkin. Results show that, at same speed, increases with rate reaches maximum value 1.0 QBEP rate. At different speeds, speed shows relatively large variation range. Moreover, proposed. The modified model suitable for correction part-load rates serves as guide hydraulic performance design prediction pumps.
